World Cricket Festival 2012 - Adelaide, South Australia

25 November - 2 December 2012

2012 will see the 15th Golden Oldies World Cricket Festival held in Adelaide South Australia, home of the famous and iconic Adelaide Oval, and where the great Sir Donald Bradman played much of his first class cricket. Set beside the River Torrens and buzzing with life, Adelaide is a capital city that is clever, cultured and cool.

An elegant city, wrapped in a wide band of lush parklands, Adelaide is rich in great things to do. With a population of 1.2 million, Adelaide is widely recognised for its friendly locals, great Mediterranean climate, relaxed lifestyle and exceptional food and wine. The cities strategic location offers a huge range of experiences to enjoy, from pristine coastlines with great beaches to the romantic wine country of the Barrossa Valley, the majestic Murray River, and the great Outback of Australia.

Adelaide is home to some of the nation's bestfood and wine and is reputed to boast more restaurants per capita than any other city in Australia. Rundle Street has over 50 cafés, restaurants, wine bars and pubs and you'll find similar quality and atmosphere in North Adelaide's O'Connell Street and Melbourne Street, which are only a short walk north from the famous Adelaide Oval.

The format for the weeks Festivities will be as follows:

Day 1 - Opening Ceremony and Welcome Party
Day 2 - 1st Day of Games
Day 3 - Picnic Day
Day 4 - 2nd Day of Games
Day 5 - Free day to explore Adelaide
Day 6 - 3rd Day of Games
Day 7 - Grand Finale Dinner and Air New Zealand Awards Ceremony
