Rules

Golden Oldies Cricket is played with the philosophy of "Fun, Friendship and Fraternity" at all times.

The normal rules of Cricket apply with the following exceptions:

Golden Oldies Cricket Playing Rules

  • Festival matches will be limited to 40 overs per side.
  • Six bowlers in each team must be used with a maximum of eight overs for any one bowler.
  • Bowlers are limited to a run-up of no more than 10 metres.
  • All players must be 40 years of age or over on the day they play.
  • Batsmen are to retire on reaching 35 but are entitled to resume their innings when all team members have batted.
