There is no better place to stage the 14th Air New Zealand Golden Oldies World Cricket Festival than the historical Spa Town of Harrogate, situated in North Yorkshire, arguably the home of Cricket.

This original and quintessential English town and its surrounding villages are proud to host the 2010 Golden Oldies World Cricket Festival.

The Yorkshire region is one of the most spectacularly beautiful regions of England, where every village seems to have a Cricket ground. The Cricket will be played on some of the most wonderful grounds in the surrounding villages, all of them with the support of the clubs from the Nidderdale Cricket league.

North Yorkshire is a land of moors, hills and dales interspersed with a liberal scattering of quaint market towns, picture postcard villages and wonderful country pubs. Massively fortified castles, palatial stately homes and spectacular gardens and landscapes litter the map of Yorkshire. This is 'God's Own Country': a green and pleasant land where they love their cricket, their food and their drink - and believe that the three are best enjoyed together, in the company of kindred spirits.

Here is the chance to embark on a cricketing pilgrimage, so, 2010 will be the chance to come and play Cricket and experience the best that traditional England and North Yorkshire has to offer.
